Coach Jacky
Originally from Hong Kong, Coach Jacky began training in the traditional art of Wing Chun, a form of Chinese kung fu, at the age of thirteen. In 1975, he began to train gymnastics at the YMCA Youth Club. Jacky would later go on to expand his martial arts knowledge by learning practical karate in 1982 while working in the film industry as a stuntman. Simultaneously, he earned his degree in kinematics the same year and joined the Hong Kong Kickboxing Association where he studied under the Hong Kong boxing champion, 江富德. Between 1982 and 1997, Jacky participated in various Muay Thai, boxing, and kickboxing competitions at the professional level in Hong Kong, Mainland China, and Macao. In 1988, Jacky founded the Ganglan Muay Thai Club after his mentor, later renamed Kwong Nan Muay Thai. Jacky would eventually obtain all three levels of Muay Thai Coaching Certificates from Thailand in 2004.
